Birthday fun (my first giveaway!)

I've got a treat today!  My birthday is Sunday and I'm hoping for at least a couple of fun surprises.  Fortunately I have one for you too!  An from Straight Grain has a new pattern; which I'm guessing you already know! :) And she's generously offered a copy for each of her testers to giveaway!  Yeah!!  After seeing all the fun dresses other testers made I can't wait to make another, I think an asymmetrical collar is calling my name!

I actually gifted myself this year and bought a new camera lens.  I think it is going to be a fun new tool to have!  Here is a glimpse of my next post using my new lens. What is it about little boys that is just overwhelmingly adorable?!

    Say, that new lens is working just fine! The subject is tack sharp and the background nicely out of focus. Although I know the operator had a lot to do with making this a happy photo.
    An ideal b-day for me would be a new camera.

      Thanks Deb! I definitely have lots to learn about photography and am always happy when I get a good shot. :) Your odds are looking pretty good for the Tinny pattern right now! :) Have a good weekend!

    Thank you so much for that great idea! My daughter's birthday is coming soon (8th of May) so it would be just enough time for me to sew a new dress for her forest party. I've already ordered a lovely green cloth so ithe Tinny pattern might help me to make her smile the whole day long and feel like a fairy princess. I would try the tulip cuffs and the asymmetrical collar combined with the circle dress, of course... The perfect present for me would be a tuition in sewing and taking photos ;)
